In 2019, Washington University in St. Louis cut the ribbon on its East End Transformation, a wholesale re-imagination of the East End of the Danforth Campus, including Weil Hall, home of the Sam Fox School. The medal, usually awarded to an individual, is awarded to the KieranTimberlake design team that led the project. The new East End is a revitalized landscape defined by plantings, paving, lighting, and wayfinding, connecting new and existing buildings.

This is the sixteenth Dean's Medal awarded by the school. The award will be celebrated at the school's Awards for Distinction program on April 21, 2022. Read the official announcement at the Sam Fox School's website.
