Tally 2.0 is acquired by C.Scale

In 2013, we launched Tally® with a singular ambition: to give designers the means to measure embodied environmental impacts so they can make more responsible choices during design. In 2021, we gifted Tally to Building Transparency as an act of advocacy, to make this powerful tool accessible to the entire AEC industry.

Today, we’re excited to share that C.Scale has acquired Tally from Building Transparency, and KieranTimberlake will be providing development support for Tally 2.0.

This next chapter addresses a persistent challenge of design teams for years: the disconnect between early-stage carbon modeling and detailed material-level analysis. By connecting C.Scale’s predictive platform with Tally’s BIM-integrated LCA capabilities and EC3’s open data infrastructure, teams will finally have a continuous workflow from concept through construction

The collaboration brings together the people and expertise behind the original Tally methodology to build the tool the industry needs now: updated background data, expanded EPD access through EC3, and direct connections to C.Scale’s platform.

We created Tally to coalesce the AEC industry’s efforts toward a more sustainable future and are thrilled to partner with C.Scale in its ongoing stewardship.
