KieranTimberlake is pleased to announce that three new projects have been honored with design awards by the American Institute of Architects, Autodesk, and the World Architecture Festival.

High Horse Ranch, an off-site fabricated private residence in California's Mendocino County, won the Villa category at the World Architecture Festival in Amsterdam. It was also honored with Merit Awards from the AIA Philadelphia and the AIA California Council, as well as an Honor Award from the AIA Pennsylvania. Jurors were drawn to the way the ranch's main house and two guest cabins were carefully placed and designed to highlight their stunning natural surroundings. “The project is nestled seamlessly into the site and takes maximum advantage of the views,” the AIA Pennsylvania jury noted, adding that “the use of modular construction in such a remote location was captivating.”

The US Embassy in London earned the AIA Philadelphia's Gold Medal and the AIA Pennsylvania's Silver Medal, each of which are their respective chapter's highest honors. The AIA Philadelphia recognized the Embassy's difficult programming, which encompasses the American values of transparency, openness, and equality in a structure with stringent security and sustainability demands. The jury added that “the architects had successfully blended the landscape, architecture, and sustainability goals with this incredible project.”

The Engineering Research Center at Brown University was recognized with an Autodesk AEC Excellence Award, an honor given annually to projects whose use of technology reimagines design and construction processes. This cutting-edge research facility connects three disparate laboratory buildings in a transformative place of welcome that creates a unified identity for the newly formed School of Engineering. The project is notably one of the nation's first university laboratories completed using an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) methodology.
